Captain Jake Morrison has been putting anglers on trophy fish for over 15 years. Offshore, inshore, and family-friendly charters aboard the Miss Ellie.
Born and raised on the Gulf Coast, Captain Jake Morrison grew up pulling redfish out of Mobile Bay before he could drive. With a USCG Master Captain license and over 15 years of professional guide experience, he knows these waters like the back of his hand.
Whether you're chasing yellowfin tuna 80 miles offshore or sight-casting to reds in the marsh, Jake's goal is the same: put you on fish and send you home with a story worth telling.
The Miss Ellie is a 36' Yellowfin center console rigged with the best electronics and tackle. She's fast, comfortable, and built to fish.
All charters are private — your group only. Pricing is per trip, not per person. All bait, tackle, licenses, ice, and fish cleaning included.
Fish the bays, marshes, and nearshore structure for redfish, speckled trout, and flounder. Great for families and first-timers.
Head beyond the reef to the rigs and wrecks. Target snapper, grouper, amberjack, and king mackerel with heavy tackle.
The big leagues. Run to the deep water and troll for yellowfin tuna, wahoo, dolphin, and billfish. This is what we live for.
The Gulf fishes year-round. Here's what's biting and when — peak months highlighted.

"Best fishing trip our family has ever taken. Captain Jake put us on redfish within 20 minutes and kept us on them all morning. My 8-year-old still talks about it."
"We booked the full day offshore and it was worth every penny. Landed a 45lb yellowfin and a couple dozen snapper. Jake filleted everything dockside. Already booked for next year."
"Third year in a row fishing with Captain Jake. The Miss Ellie is the nicest boat in the marina and Jake runs a first-class operation. Can't recommend him enough."
